Dress Fever

I think it must be the season for dress now. Everywhere, ladies are wearing their pretty dresses! It's so flattering and enchanting. I love those nice printed maxi dresses. They're just sooooooo nice. Aside from ball gowns, they're the next best thing to make someone feel like a princess again (princess wears long dresses).

BUT, on what occassion do I wear them to?

Come ladies, let's buy them and make it a fashion statement!
(so that I have a reason to buy and wear them...hehehe)

Places I hate

I hate Shah Alam and I hate the places that I have to go in Shah Alam for my work purposes.

Why??!!!

For example; in an enquiry counter, I had to ask "Who is who in here.." and the reply given to me was, "this one you have to go enquire".

???!!!!

What the heck that person thought I was doing there at the enquiry counter?
Hopeless, hopeless!

Hot like hell

Need we go sauna anymore? NO!

The weather is soooooooooooooooo terribly hot and humid (and according to weather report, this is going to last until September!).

Even sitting down quietly at home doesn't prevent me from sweating profusely. On top of that, I'm surviving without the luxury of air-cond. It's just a matter of time before I'll drop and faint.

What am I born to do?

I can't believe to be still thinking about this question until now when I'm supposed to be already mapping my career and having at least a 5 years plan.

I definitely know that I'm not such a law legal person. I don't like to think like a lawyer. I'm a regular jane and lawyers are humans too. I'm just stuck at it because I'm reminding myself that it is doable.

My heart has always been for arts eversince Form 4 when I started to hate science and maths.

That day, when I was asked to comment on a logo, I happily offered my help to make changes to parts of it. Someone told me that I shouldn't waste too much time on it as there are no extra points for having a nice logo. I told myself that I'd rather be designing the logo than doing anything else. Why am I in the legal profession?

"Use your brain please"

This is what a police officer told me when I was interviewing 2 accused persons for illegally entering M'sia and overstaying in M'sia. And he told me right in front of 30 over accused persons in the lockup! And then another lawyer/police lookalike (I forgot who they were) walked passed and mumbled that its useless that I took such high education and yet cannot use some common sense. Well, and this happened in front of the 30 over accused persons who can well understand simple Bahasa Malaysia (they're all illegal immigrants). WHAT IS EMBARASSMENT neh? Nolah...nothing to be embarassed about. Really.

I had good intentions.

Another story now. Unrelated to this title.

I think I may be right about buying bottles of beer and drink them alone at home this weekend (although I won't really go buy them). I think it's cool to drink from bottle directly. The ambience have to be perfect, like dim orange lights with my Edifier blasting away and me surfing the net. How does that sound? Chilling weekend?

If I do get drunk then at least I can straightaway go to sleep.

Why I did not blog for so long?

The answer to some would be obvious. I was really caught up with work, and even I had some scarce free time, it would be wisely spent on playing games to unwind and relax.

Since February, I signed up for Sign Language class in YMCA, KL. As a result, a weekend is not a proper weekend as I did not get enough time to rest. But I'm glad that I took up some classes to keep myself occupied.

With our beloved BIM instructor, Ke Xin ( the one happily showing off her gift)

I'm also aware that I'm not done with my Cambodia trip chronicles, BUT those who are in my facebook can still view those pictures.

Also, I've started with my Dock Brief as part of the Legal Aid programme compulsory for all chambering students. The first time when I had to stand up and speak to the magistrate in open court, I was so nervous that I can feel that my hand was about to shake. HOWEVER... I can't show it as all the accused were sitting in the dock right behind me. I had to pressed my hand hard on the table to stop myself fumbling and showing signs of nervousness.

So far, I helped 4 drug addicts mitigated for lighter sentence. After mitigating for the 3rd accused, I was steadier. Thank God the magistrate did not fire at me or did anything drastic to me. He was nice enough to grant me 10 minutes (as if it's enough) to interview all the accused, and I had 4 to handle ( luckily, I had a partner to assist me but eventhough she has no locus standi to address the court).

It was an eye opener having accused telling all sorts of stories about their life. As far as I know, they do have difficult life and peer pressure to sustain. Some, I think is fit to adopt prison as their second home. Sometimes I wonder if they understand what is the meaning of life at all.

I hope this will be the last time the DVD seller cum drug addict be sent to prison. He's is my age.

I love SiemReap

1st day

I must thank SiemReap for giving me sights to most beautiful architecture and meaning of simple life (although I can find that in Sabah too).

I have a chance to make a short trip there for 3 nights during the Chinese Lunar New year and I can say that I will return for another visit, and many more visits if $$ permits.

Upon arrival to Siem Reap airport. Architecture looks more like a beachside resort.

A street in Siem Reap...cool isn't it?

Grave inside one of the temples

A visit to the Artisan Angkor, where Cambodia finest crafts are made. Compared to China tours, one thing I like about Cambodia is that they don't pressure tourists to buy their products.

Aerial view from the hotel. Perfect isn't it? No tall buildings.

Travelling in tuk-tuk with my parents.

Look at the condition of the road. The tour guide told us that they don't call this bumpy road anymore. It's dancing road!
